After many successful years on the Wietzer Berg, the festival is now taking place for the third year in a row on the beautiful Tewes family farm. Fun for young and old, delicious food for everyone - you can win your winter supply of potatoes on the wheel of fortune or dig up the tubers yourself. In the field next door you have the opportunity to collect your fresh heather potatoes yourself with a wheelbarrow and sacks. Children in particular will have great fun here. Then fortify yourself with a variety of regional delicacies such as potato pancakes, fried potatoes, sour meat, Knipp bratwurst or steaks. However, Farmer Tewes' specialty are the small potatoes from the large cast iron pan, served with a refreshing quark dip. Fresh butter cake or bread with homemade sausage complete the offering.
Combined with a trip to the Wietzer Berg
Discover the area around the potato farm - take advantage of your visit to the potato festival and combine it with a trip to Wietzer Berg. From there you have a wonderful view over the (hopefully) blooming heathland and the potato and grain fields. Follow the Heidschnuckenweg (Wiezendorf-Müden) or hike the Heideschleife, which takes you from Wietzer Berg to Müden and back again.
