In 2015, »World’s Fair« was the first solo album by Julian Lage, a youngster from the San Francisco Bay area, for a long time marketed as a guitar prodigy. A melancholic, intimate record that sounds as if the musician were marching into his living room, grabbing his guitar and letting rip. In his solo concert at the Elbphilharmonie, Julian Lage now presents this timeless music between jazz, classical and folk in a somewhat larger sitting room.
