JS Bach: Markus-Passion

The St. Mark Passion is considered Johann Sebastian Bach's greatest lost work. Many parts can be reconstructed, as they originated from the funeral ode and the chorales have been handed down through Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Numerous additions exist for the lost sections. Particularly influential is Volker Bräutigam's contemporary Gospel music , which consciously avoids copying Bach's style.
