Gamehl/Wismar On Whit Monday, May 20, the rousing and entertaining sounds of the Breitling Stompers will be heard at the jazz brunch at Gamehl Castle from 11:00 am. Founded in 1986 in the Rostock "Wappenklause", the band has developed into the leading Dixieland formation in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Stylistically, the group is oriented towards the swing Dixieland of the 50s and 60s in a very fresh, cheerful and, of course, danceable version. In addition to well-known standards of old-time jazz, the program includes hits from the thirties and forties as well as wonderful pieces from the great era of swing orchestras.
The day will be accompanied by a fantastic brunch buffet from the castle kitchen, presented by chef Detlef Weiß and his team. Of course, weather permitting, the day will take place in what is probably Wismar's largest and most beautiful beer garden with over 20,000 m².
