Harwstglummern

On Friday, November 6, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., the Kirch Stück Friends Association invites you to a Low German evening at the Landhaus Schwerin in Medewege.

On Friday, November 6, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., the Friends of the Kirch Stück Church Association (Förderverein der Kirche zu Kirch Stück e.V.) will host a Low German evening with Anke Gohsmann and Wolfgang Kniep under the theme “Harwstglummern —Low German Songs and Stories for the Pre-Christmas Season.” The event will take place at “Landhaus Schwerin,” a guesthouse and café, located at An der Chaussee 28, 19055 Schwerin-Medewege.

Singer Anke Gohsmann and author and Gillhoff Prize winner Wolfgang Kniep will transport us to a cozy living room and, by candlelight, into the colorful autumn forest and the white winter landscape of Mecklenburg.

With songs, stories, and “whispers by the fireplace,” they invite us to snuggle up, reflect, and smile, banishing the gloom of the dark season from our hearts for a little while and looking forward with us to the sparkle in children’s eyes during the pre-Christmas season.

Everyone is warmly invited! Admission is free; at the end of the event, we’ll be collecting donations to cover the costs of the event and to fund construction projects in and around St. Georg Church in Kirch Stück.

This event is sponsored by the Northwest Mecklenburg District and the MV Volunteer Foundation.
