A concert brimming with elegance, poetry, sensuality, and rhythmic energy: from the elegant chamber music of François Devienne to Henri Vieuxtemps’s virtuoso viola capriccio, and on to Debussy’s impressionistic piano artistry and Puccini’s tender, poetic »Crisantemi« atmosphere, a rich tapestry of sounds unfolds. Mais Harb adds a distant, sensual tone with two Druze folk songs, before Antonín Dvořák’s Piano Quintet in A Major, Op. 81, brings the evening to a spectacular close with rhythmic energy, emotional depth, and festive virtuosity.
