During this compact harbor cruise , the Port of Hamburg will be shown to you from its most beautiful side: Depending on the tide (high and low tide), the one-hour harbor cruise begins with a drive through the picturesque canals of the Speicherstadt . Then it's along the HafenCity and the Elbphilharmonie for a trip to the Elbe and the former Freeport with its world-famous attractions. These include historic docks and modern terminals for container handling , where you can get up close and personal with over 400-meter-long ships - the giants of the oceans.
You see cruise centers , the St. Paui Landungsbrücken , the shipyard Blohm & Voss . In Hansahafen, where the harbor museum is located, you will learn how harbor work used to work. You see the historic 50s shed , beautiful old cranes , also facilities of the port railway as well as several small and larger museum ships .
