A strong extraordinary woman was Christine von Halle in the era of the Renaissance.
She was the mother of twelve children and also a self-employed businesswoman.
Which woman could own and manage her own property alongside her husband, conduct her own financial transactions, and achieve wealth in the 16th century?
Who was this woman? What was the social role and life situation of women in the 16th century? And what does it mean to us from today’s perspective?
Christine von Halle was the strong woman by Heinrich Rantzau's side. She lived in Schleswig-Holstein since 1854, following her marriage to Heinrich Rantzau, until her death in 1603.
As part of the 500th anniversary celebration of Heinrich Rantzau, his wife will be the focus of the evening.
No registration is required!
