The Goldmund Quartet plays works by Schubert, Weinberg and Brahms
Niccolò Paganini was not only known as the "devil's violinist", he also had a number of valuable instruments in his possession, including a quartet with two violins, viola and cello, made by Antonio Stradivari. This quartet with its perfectly coordinated sound is now owned by the Sasakawa Music Foundation in Tokyo and is awarded to selected world-class string quartets. Since 2019, the Goldmund Quartet has been fortunate to be able to play on these valuable instruments. Thanks to the Konzertverein Schwerin, this outstanding ensemble and its master instruments will be performing in Schwerin for the second time.
