Meet-up for women who develop circular products and circular business models

Having successfully launched the FEMALE MAKER CHALLENGE: circular futures 2025, we now want to offer a regular format for female makers and aspiring as well as established female founders in the field of circular everyday products and circular business models. You are passionate about physical everyday products and circular business models that deliver more – that have an ecological, social, or economic impact. The focus is on circular product design: durable materials, repairable products, recyclable concepts such as sustainable furniture, reusable packaging, upcycled products, smart household helpers, resource-saving mobility solutions, or innovative textiles.

Then you've come to the right place! Our goal is to make female makers from all social classes visible, to support them with know-how and to connect them with each other.

From 3-5 pm, the MakerLab and its machines are a safe space for women who want to use the lab's machines free of charge, with or without guidance. At 5 pm, we'll start with a short presentation followed by a discussion.

You can choose to register for both rounds or just one of them.

Process:

15:00-17:00 Making on the machines in the MakerLab of your choice

17:00-18:30 Keynote speech and discussion session

This time, Mariana Yzusqui Burkard shares her passion for circular design. Mariana is an EcoDesigner and Project Lead at Indeed-Innovation.com. Using a systemic approach, she develops products, services, and ecosystems that close loops and combine ecological and economic sustainability. She considers the entire product lifecycle, involves relevant stakeholders, and ensures that design decisions have measurable impacts along the entire value chain. She studied product design at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Applied Sciences and has worked at Indeed Innovation for eight years, six of them specializing in circular design. For Mariana, good design is precise, functional, and emotionally compelling. She believes circular solutions are successful when they work equally well from both the user and business perspectives. In addition to circular design, she is particularly passionate about topics such as women's health and social design. She sees great potential in these areas to initiate change and make a positive contribution to society and the economy.

- This will be exciting!

We look forward to seeing you!
