Therapeutic fasting, or fasting in general, means abstaining from what we consume in excess in everyday life. Through a controlled fasting regimen, the body regains its harmony and a healthy balance. With good planning, deficiencies during a fast are unlikely, as we often accumulate a few extra pounds in today's affluent society.
