Internal school piano competition "Baroque music"

For the first time this year, the keyboard section of the "Johann M. Sperger" Music School is holding an internal piano competition. All piano students at the music school are invited to take part in this competition and demonstrate their musical skills.

The theme of the competition is "Baroque music", as this musical epoch is an important phase in Western music and has been an important part of piano training from the very beginning.

The aim of the competition is to promote both an understanding and appreciation of the impressive era of baroque music. At the same time, the music school would like to showcase the high-quality pedagogical work in the region and support the musical development of its students.

The competition takes place in several rounds. After each round, personal evaluation interviews are offered to give the participants valuable feedback on their playing. The ceremonial awarding of certificates will then take place on May 25, 2025 in the Kulturmühle Parchim as part of the master concert.

The competition is open to the public. We look forward to welcoming numerous guests to our venue.
