Cow hike

On a leisurely walk with our Mathilda and our ox Benjamin you can relax and enjoy the beautiful nature. Far away from everyday life, in the rhythm of the animals, we walk through the beautiful heath landscape of Mecklenburg. Get to know these sensitive and social creatures as individuals.

Be very close to cows - cuddling included!

On a leisurely walk with our Mathilda and our ox Benjamin, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.
Before the cow walk begins, you will learn about the origins of our cows, their special features and characteristics. You will receive a safety briefing and learn what you need to be aware of during the hike. Afterwards you will get to know our ox Benjamin, his mother Mathilda and our 3 black and white cows Milka, Holly & Ronja. The two of them will then be haltered and we will start our hike. Two people always lead one animal. Ideal for couples or friends who want to spend time together! Far away from everyday life, in the rhythm of the animals, we hike for about 2 hours through the beautiful heathland of southwest Mecklenburg. You will have plenty of opportunity to get to know these sensitive and social creatures as individuals.

After the hike, you can enjoy a cup of hot punch and apple strudel in the farm café or browse in our farm store.

Equipment recommendations / information
- Sturdy footwear suitable for the weather and the forest is recommended
- Warm and weatherproof clothing is advisable (we also hike in rain, wind or snow)
- Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed because of the cows
- Children are welcome, but they are not allowed to lead a cow on their own until they are 12 years old. It is generally at the parents' discretion whether the child can join the two-hour hike at the pace of the mixed group. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children and their safety on the farm and during the entire event
