Concert Phoenix
Thursday, 30/04/2026 / 07:00 PM - 09:00 PM / Tschaikowsky-Saal
- from 10.00€ to 30.00€
The program “Phoenix” tells, through musical imagery, a story of development, transformation, and renewal. At its core stands the phoenix—symbol of death, transformation, and rebirth—serving as the guiding thread throughout the concert.
The program is divided into three sections:
Past, shaped by energetic Latin American rhythms and classical tradition;
Death, as a phase of inner transformation and farewell;
and Rebirth, music filled with light, hope, and new energy.
Works by Igor Stravinsky, Johann Sebastian Bach, Olivier Messiaen, and Astor Piazzolla enter into dialogue with legendary voices of Latin American music such as Cheo Feliciano, Compay Segundo, Fito Páez, Charly García, Miguel Matamoros, and João Pernambuco. The result is a rich and layered sound world in which classical music, tango, bolero, jazz, and zamba merge.
The international chamber ensemble brings together voice, violin, oboe, clarinet, piano, guitar, double bass, as well as a wide range of percussion instruments. Musicians from different countries contribute their cultural backgrounds, forming a vibrant and dynamic ensemble—a musical phoenix that continually rises anew.
