On November 16, 2024, you are invited to a special book presentation at the Folklore Museum in Schönberg, Am Markt 1! Olaf Both's new book: Bilder aus dem Ratzeburger Land. Fotografien für den Heimatbund presents the villages of the former Principality of Ratzeburg in an outstanding way. In this photo book, he and the Schwerin-based Thomas Helms Verlag have succeeded in reproducing old photographs of the farming villages from the original glass negatives. Old photographs of buildings and their peculiarities can be seen, placed in a family history or historical context. This book was made possible thanks to the support and funding of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the district of Nordwestmecklenburg, the Jürgen Wessel Foundation in Lübeck, the Heimatbund für das Fürstentum Ratzeburg von 1901 e.V. and the town of Schönberg.
