Björn Lücker Aquarian Jazz Ensemble

    Jazz at werk3

The Björn Lücker Aquarian Jazz Ensemble is back with a completely new line-up of young shooting stars from the Hamburg scene, as well as the Schwerin saxophonist Christoph Möckel. With current compositions by the bandleader, which, deeply rooted in the field of tension between jazz and free form, leave the players plenty of room for their own expression as usual, thus ensuring surprising twists and turns and colorful, intense communication time and again.
Percussionist Björn Lücker has long since achieved the status of an eminence in his field, whose horizons extend far beyond the edge of his instrumentarium. For years now, with the Aquarian Jazz Ensemble, he has been creating a multifaceted and cross-border variation of contemporary jazz of the European top class between the poles of improvisation and composition, cool and passionate, traditional and innovative.
    Björn Lücker - drums, compositions
Christian Höhn - trumpet, flugelhorn, piccolo trumpet
Christoph Möckel - tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone
Lukas Klapp - piano / Lucas Kolbe - double bass
