A play by the twelfth-grade class of the Freie Waldorfschule Schwerin, loosely based on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s *The Little Prince*.
That year, the sun expanded the desert. It shone down on the sandy expanses, amid the bones, the dry thorns, and the translucent skins of dead lizards. A pilot crashes.
Alone in the desert, without water, with no hope of rescue. Amid thirst, heat, and drought, the desert becomes an ocean; solitude gives rise to a little prince. The present and memory, sobriety and hallucination, flying and falling—while the desert manifests itself in between as a place of disappearance and appearance.
