And this is what it's about: Marie is sitting by the well – her spindle has fallen in! What should she do? Call her wicked mother or her lazy sister Chantalle for help? No, impossible. Luckily, Marie meets Friedolin the frog. He takes her away – to the fairytale world of Mother Hulda, where bread can talk and apples can dance!
