The magic of the encounter Almas do Mundo & Macarena Ruiz (dance) A concert and pilot project in collaboration with Ataraxia and MusiKKlub Schwerin. Free and open to all - donations are welcome for the benefit of Casa Hogar Deutschland e.V.

Driven by wanderlust and gentle melancholy, the four personalities Edy Godinho, Pablo Camus, Claudia Meures and Macarena Ruiz (dance) from the most diverse origins and musical backgrounds come together as "Almas do Mundo" and embark on a joint search for the musical soul of Latin America.

In the process, they discover a little-known genre: CHORO! This style of music has often been described as the "jazz of Brazil". However, it builds bridges to the baroque era and 20th century composers were also inspired by it. Choro is a sound created by the confluence of African and European elements. Alongside the more familiar sounds of samba and bossa nova, it particularly reflects the essence of Brazilian music. The vocals, the dance, the seven-string guitar and the classical saxophone are inspired to aurally and visually immerse themselves in the unmistakable sound of African and European elements.

Hannah will talk about the work of Casa Hogar Deutschland e.V. in the Colombian crisis region of Chocó. This organization is committed to empowering girls and women through education and is currently building new residential and meeting facilities in Istima. A first sleeping module has already been built there. Now they are trying to complete the urgently needed kitchen module. Then the first girls will be able to move into their new home.
