Aims and methods - art is an experience

Every person is a completely individual, unique personality in all the diversity of their perception, feelings and thoughts - unrepeatable. Everything that is in the child or young person lives itself out and seeks to be communicated. Our task is to allow the risk of one's own being and to allow the inner message, the secret language of the soul, the imagination to blossom. We respond to the children and young people and encourage them to develop their own perspectives and ideas. The artistic attitude develops from the overall attitude to life and art acts as a means of constituting and building up one's own self.

We help them to find, develop and support their own abilities.

Creating something new together, awakening enthusiasm, curiosity and the courage to take risks, temperament, joy and the ability to experience, love and zeal for artistic realization, tolerance and acceptance, concentration, demands such as patience and dedication for one's own creation and versatility through joint thinking and co-creation

Children want to use intuitive means of communication and expression, but often have to neglect them in favor of rational language. Drawing and painting is a form of expression, a communication of perception, of feeling, instinct and knowledge, of one's own inner experience and the possibility of describing not only the appearance of things but also their essence; it opens up access to one's own emotions - to the treasure trove of the soul.

The students are at the center of our work.

Priority is given to the personal development of the individual students. They are taught to sensitively perceive their own world, artistic content and solid manual skills. The children and young people learn to use their own creativity as a possible means of perceiving, reflecting on, communicating and processing personal and social experiences. They learn to use the visual language as a sensual means of expression and communication and develop their own personal expression in the process.

This involves approaching the object, creatively grasping it and designing from their own feelings. The foundations for these processes are trust, courage, motivation and enthusiasm.

Free design promotes skills that lead to the development, blossoming and strengthening of personality. Free also means free from formal, social and commercial constraints. Free design guidelines also relate to a world of ideas of adults and teachers, a commercial youth culture, a consumer world, i.e. free from templates and schemes.

When young people are creative, they can understand something about themselves for life and gain certainty about their own self. Shaping one's life is the challenge of this time, our opportunity and task. To be able to experience and shape the adventures in real life out of oneself in one's own sensual identity means to be authentic and to live in the awareness of values.

Children and young people need to see, feel and understand the world.

"Draw what you see!", "Paint what you feel!"

In this way, basic studies are taught, learning the artistic craft - study of nature, color theory, design theory, composition, perspective, finding ideas, sensitization for details, differentiation for the art forms of nature, for moods, feelings, also for the quiet, small things in life...,

I provide stimulation and motivation through a positive, open atmosphere that offers freedom for self-development, depth and one's own ideas and try to break down inhibitions and open up access to one's own inner world and free it from external constraints.

Through positive criticism, I show and reinforce what has been successful and we analyze why? In doing so, the pupils often recognize unfinished work themselves. Projects and exhibitions enable them to exchange ideas and communicate them to the public. Projects can also be created in collaboration with music, dance, theater, text and improvisation.
