Architecture Day 2024 - Guided tour of the "Renovation and extension of apartment building" project

Simply (re)build is the nationwide motto of the Day of Architecture, which will take place this year on the weekend of June 29 and 30, 2024. In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the program starts on Wednesday, 26 June 2024, with the presentation of the Rostock Architecture Award 2024 in the Cultural History Museum of the Hanseatic City of Rostock.

COMPLETION: 1st quarter 2026

The house is being extensively renovated and converted to the latest standards. The result will be bright, modern and spacious apartments with well thought-out layouts ideal for young families and older couples. The existing living space will be extended by adding two floors of 1,712 square meters. All 30 apartments and the basement will be accessible by elevator and external arcades. All apartments will have a balcony or terrace. The aim is to achieve the greatest possible accessibility. The renovated old building complies with the 55 NH energy house standard, the extension with the 40 NH energy house standard. A PV system is planned for the flat roof.
