"Animal impressions" - special exhibition of wildlife photography by Knut-Fischer

Special exhibition at the Karower Meiler, the visitor center of the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heath Nature Park. There is not "only" exquisite wildlife photography to see, but on October 9, photographer Knut Fischer will also be on site to show his film "A night among cranes". This will be followed by crane watching.
Majestic cranes, colorful bee-eaters ̶ Knut Fischer's photographs capture magical moments of wildlife in their natural habitat and allow us to experience the diversity and beauty of our animal world up close. The Leipzig-based photographer finds a lot of peace and relaxation in nature photography as a balance to his everyday work. He is particularly fascinated by discovering and experiencing the great outdoors. This means that he only photographs animals in the wild, i.e. not caged animals in game enclosures, falconry or breeding facilities. He likes to travel alone, because the really good pictures are taken when there are no conversations or distractions to disturb the moment. The nature photography exhibition shows animals that are not immediately visible on the first walk or hike in nature. Shy animals such as the crane, deer and fox, majestic birds such as the white-tailed eagle, or the small tube spider, are among them. He is also interested in new arrivals, such as the bee-eater, which breeds in the edges of gravel pits. However, he has taken one protagonist in particular to his heart, the kingfisher. The photographer is delighted that the kingfisher enjoys such a high level of protection in Germany. He tries to get as close as possible to these wonderful animals and wants to show their beauty, but also their fragility, in his pictures. His hope is that many people will recognize how beautiful and worthy of protection nature is and become committed to protecting it.
The special exhibition in the Karower Meiler can be seen until the end of November. On Wednesday, October 9, Knut Fischer will also be on site himself and show his film "A night among cranes" at 5 pm. Afterwards, interested visitors can go crane watching with the nature park ranger.
