Amelie is 24 years old and lives in St. Pauli, Hamburg. She's actually studying biochemistry, but during her bachelor's degree she started writing songs and producing them with her friends. Now she's completely hooked on music and is building a musical career far from the lab bench.
Amelie's sound moves between modern indie pop and warm electronic textures, which in her second EP, due out in autumn 2026, are clearly driven by hip-hop influences. Her lyrics are not only shockingly honest and
They are not emotionally approachable, but rather form their own unique, recognizable style of poetry, with which they musically package the emotional conflicts of Gen Z.
“Never have I ever listened to the looks” is a line in a song by Tam Nook - a line that sums up a very essential driving force behind her music: The Cairo-born singer, who grew up and lives in Hamburg, makes her music for the sake of the music and tries to impose pigeonholes rather than fit into them.
This is evident in UK garage elements, inspired by a period of her life in Oxford, as well as in individual French lyrics or instrumentals with a mix of French electropop and indie à la Ed Banger, which draw on her French-influenced upbringing. This world is held together by contemporary electronic sounds with a touch of bedroom free-spiritedness, perfectly tailored to her needs by top-level producers like waterboutus, Maxe, Lee, Merrari, or B-Ware.
