Hermes Hemmnis is an artist duo from Hamburg, consisting of Till Knapp and Lennart Häusser. Their work moves at the intersection of composition and sound research and is based on examining and re-contextualizing sounds and spaces. Using field recordings and on-site recorded cassette tape loops, atmospheric soundscapes are created. For the ambient concert at the Flusi, they develop an immersive listening experience that is specially tailored to the spatial and acoustic atmosphere of the Flussschifferkirche. The warm, unamplified sounds of the organ are combined with gentle, spatially distributed soundtracks and encourage listeners to dive into their own thoughts.
