"About people" (Julie Zeh) Reading by Anja Lechle

Actress Anja Lechle reads from bestselling author Julie Zeh's successful novel "About People"

The Alte Pferdestall Fahren e.V. invites you to a very nice reading.

On November 22 at 7 p.m., we have been able to secure the actress Anja Lechle for a reading at the Altes Pferdestall Fahren. "When I was asked what I wanted to read for Fahren, my spontaneous answer was "Über Menschen" by Julie Zeh, one of my favorite books." (Quote from Anja Lechle)

The great new novel by bestselling author Julie Zeh tells of our immediate present, of our biases, weaknesses and fears, and it tells of our strengths that come to light when we dare to be human.

Do we dare to be human?

"A book that opens your eyes to our reality in the Federal Republic of Germany." (Denis Scheck, SWR Fernsehen lesenswert, March 25, 2021)

Dora urgently needed to get out of the city, even if she doesn't know exactly what she's on the run from. Big city, lockdown, stressful job, an overzealous boyfriend, plus Donald Trump, Brexit and right-wing populism - when did the world get so mixed up? However, she has to realize that this small village in the middle of nowhere in Brandenburg is not the rural idyll that some city dwellers dream of. Now she's here anyway.

While Dora is still trying to keep her own thoughts and demons at bay, things happen in her immediate vicinity that she could not have expected. People appear to her who don't fit into any kind of grid, who challenge her ideas and her previous life in the most massive way and allow her to experience something that she would never have thought she was looking for.

Anja Lechle is a singer and qualified actress, trained at the two renowned acting schools Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch

in Berlin. After theater engagements in Braunschweig, Karlsruhe and Stuttgart, she has been working freelance since 2010. She is also a naturopath and hypnotherapist and has sung in several bands.

This relaxed reading can be experienced on November 22, 2024 at 7 pm in the lovingly restored old horse stable Fahren. When the registered cultural association Alter Pferdestall Fahren e.V. is not using this idyllic location for concerts or readings, it can be hired for weddings, family celebrations, company events or as vacation accommodation with spacious rooms for groups and/or families.

Fahren is conveniently located, just 3 km from the Zurow highway exit: off the beaten track in the countryside, but still close by.

    Start: 7 p.m. - Admission: 6 p.m. - Admission: €10
The previous event with Anja Lechle and Dota Kehr was sold out, so we recommend booking tickets in advance: www.alter-pferdestall-fahren.de
