Come to the zoo on 24.04. and celebrate 70 years of Schwerin Zoo with us. Admission costs a symbolic 70 cents on this day.
70 years ago, in 1956, Schwerin Zoo - then still a zoo - opened its doors to visitors for the first time with just 17 animals. Today, Schwerin Zoo is home to more than 1500 animals and is one of the most important educational and leisure facilities in the state, and we would like to invite you to join us in taking a look at 70 years of zoo history and everything that is yet to come.
What you can expect:
- colorful zoo program (feedings, commentaries, stage program, new historical exhibition on the 30 zoo panels).
- Start of the stage program is at 16:00
- the zoo is open regularly from 9:00 a.m.
Admission costs a symbolic 70 cents. Annual pass holders pay nothing extra.
