Romantic soundscapes - three works, three perspectives. Mel Bonis' Trois Femmes de légende takes us into the mythical world of Salome, Ophelia and Cleopatra. Camille Saint-Saëns' Piano Concerto No. 2, composed in just 17 days, demonstrates his extraordinary virtuosity and challenges the soloist. Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 4 fascinates with its emotional depth and formal clarity.
