2nd symphony concert With works by Mel Bonis, Camille Saint-Saëns and Johannes Brahms

Program:
Mel Bonis - Trois Femmes de légende. Three pieces for orchestra
Camille Saint-Saëns - Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor op. 22
Johannes Brahms - Symphony No. 4 in E minor op. 98

Romantic soundscapes - three works, three perspectives. Mel Bonis' Trois Femmes de légende takes us into the mythical world of Salome, Ophelia and Cleopatra. Camille Saint-Saëns' Piano Concerto No. 2, composed in just 17 days, demonstrates his extraordinary virtuosity and challenges the soloist. Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 4 fascinates with its emotional depth and formal clarity. These three works unite the compositional mastery of the late Romantic period and offer an evening full of passion, sophistication and dramatic beauty.
