SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Special Exhibition at the Karower Meiler - "pure nature" by Kristin=0D=0ATriphan
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Kristin Triphan’s paintings are an encounter with nature and, at the=0D=0Asame time, an encounter with the self. Her paintings depict=0D=0Alandscapes, but also moods and intense moments connected to the=0D=0Aexperience of nature.=0D=0A=0D=0AKristin Triphan was born and raised in the Ore Mountains; she now=0D=0Alives and works in Rostock and the Uckermark. “Nature, the sea, and,=0D=0Aof course, the mountains are an important part of my life and my=0D=0Ainspiration,” says Kristin Triphan about herself. She is self-taught=0D=0Aand takes great joy in experimenting. Graphics, watercolor, and=0D=0Aacrylic meet charcoal, putty, sand, or even coffee. Different=0D=0Amaterials are combined, layered, and developed layer by layer into a=0D=0Aunique visual world. It is precisely this materiality that lends her=0D=0Aworks a special depth and allows the surface of her paintings to=0D=0Aalmost become a landscape in its own right.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe artist finds inspiration in nature, music, and travel. She is less=0D=0Ainterested in a lifelike depiction of a specific place than in what a=0D=0Alandscape evokes within us: tranquility and vastness, light and=0D=0Adarkness, closeness and distance, transience and new beginnings.=0D=0AStraddling the line between figuration and abstraction, her paintings=0D=0Athus create space for the viewer’s own reflections. A dark expanse=0D=0Abecomes night; a textured surface becomes earth, rock, or water.=0D=0ANature is not merely depicted but becomes a sensory experience through=0D=0Acolor, texture, and material. Her works serve as a reminder that the=0D=0Abeauty of natural landscapes is by no means a given. This perspective=0D=0Ais particularly evident in her exhibition “pure nature”: The=0D=0Apaintings are a tribute to the beauty of nature, but at the same time=0D=0Aa quiet appeal to recognize and preserve its uniqueness and=0D=0Avulnerability.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe exhibition is on view through October 15 during the opening hours=0D=0Aof the Karower Meiler Nature Park Center (daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.=0D=0Ain September; Mon–Thu from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fri from 10 a.m. to=0D=0Anoon in October).=0D=0A
