Their images of=0D=0AIndian and colonial architecture, landscapes, and foreign cultures=0D=0Acirculated around the world as postcards in the early 20th century and=0D=0Ashaped the image of the British colony.=0D=0A=0D=0ADue to World War I, Hermann Wiele was forced to leave India. He spent=0D=0Athe last years of his life in Hagenow.
