On=0D=0Adisplay will be works by sculptor Katharina Vogt and painter and=0D=0Agraphic artist Gerd Frick - two artistic personalities whose diversity=0D=0Aand independent expression promise a special interplay.=0D=0A=0D=0AKATHARINA VOGT - BETWEEN NATURE, MEMORY AND MOVEMENT=0D=0A=0D=0ABorn in Berlin in 1966, Katharina Vogt studied visual communication in=0D=0ABerlin and Potsdam after completing her basic studies in drawing at=0D=0Athe Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee. She created her first=0D=0Asculptural works with the Berlin sculptor Christine Dewerny. She has=0D=0Abeen working as a freelance graphic artist and sculptor since 1997 and=0D=0Alives in the Feldberg lake district. Her range of works includes=0D=0Adrawings, prints, sculptures and assemblages.=0D=0A=0D=0AVogt draws on the wealth of forms found in nature and her immediate=0D=0Aenvironment as well as a sea of events and memories. Her ship works in=0D=0Aparticular invite reflection: Preserved remnants of past form and=0D=0Afunction are used to create structures that embody departure and=0D=0Atransience, freedom and abandonment in equal measure.=0D=0A=0D=0AGERD FRICK - COLOR, STRUCTURE AND PUBLICITY=0D=0A=0D=0AGerd Frick, born in Schwerin in 1948, studied painting at the=0D=0AKunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee under Hans Vent, Dieter Goltzsche=0D=0Aand Heinrich Tessier from 1976 to 1981. Since then, he has worked as a=0D=0Afreelancer in Neubrandenburg and has repeatedly devoted himself to=0D=0Apublic art alongside his paintings and graphic works. The exhibition=0D=0Afeatures large-format, colorful prints and paintings - multi-layered=0D=0Aprints full of structures and color surfaces.=0D=0A=0D=0ADr. Harald Rindstorff, former Minister President of=0D=0AMecklenburg-Vorpommern, once aptly described Frick's work: he stands=0D=0Afor colorful, fresh images and always leaves the viewer enough room=0D=0Afor their own interpretations.=0D=0A=0D=0A =0D=0A=0D=0AWorks by Gerd Frick were already on display at our museum in 2015.
