SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:The Cleveland Orchestra / Franz Welser-Möst
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:For almost a quarter of a century, Franz Welser-Möst has stood at the=0D=0Ahelm of the Cleveland Orchestra – a close artistic partnership whose=0D=0Alongevity has resulted in exceptional musical excellence. As one of=0D=0Athe leading orchestras of the American continent, the ensemble is an=0D=0Aessential part of the Elbphilharmonie’s »USA 250« focus. On the=0D=0Aprogramme are works that build bridges between the »New« and the=0D=0A»Old« World.=0D=0A=0D=0ARichard Strauss must have been an immensely proud family man: after=0D=0Aall, he transformed everyday domestic life into music in his=0D=0A»Sinfonia domestica«, with sounds that evoke the deeds of a daring=0D=0Ahero more than the bustle of lively family visits. Premiered in New=0D=0AYork, the exuberant work was enthusiastically received on both sides=0D=0Aof the Atlantic.=0D=0A=0D=0AAccording to composer Bernd Richard Deutsch, the title »Intensity«=0D=0Areflects the emotional world surrounding the creation of the piece. In=0D=0A2019, the Austrian composer began a three-year residency with the=0D=0ACleveland Orchestra and was filled with energy and inspiration from=0D=0Anew encounters with people and places. »Deutsch has a truly=0D=0Aimpressive command of writing for large orchestra,« wrote the=0D=0Anewspaper Die Welt following the last Elbphilharmonie concert=0D=0Afeaturing his music.=0D=0A=0D=0APERFORMERS=0D=0A=0D=0ATHE CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA orchestra=0D=0A=0D=0AFRANZ WELSER-MÖST conductor=0D=0A=0D=0APROGRAM=0D=0A=0D=0AWOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART=0D=0ASymphony in C major, KV 338=0D=0A=0D=0ABERND RICHARD DEUTSCH=0D=0AIntensity=0D=0A=0D=0A- Interval -=0D=0A=0D=0ARICHARD STRAUSS=0D=0ASinfonia domestica for Large Orchestra in F major, Op. 53=0D=0A
