Based on her legacy – photographs, figurines, and=0D=0Acostume jewelry – a previously "silent" chapter of the=0D=0Aneighborhood's history is brought to light and told.=0D=0A=0D=0AUsing historical sources from the 1920s, 1950s, and 1970s, we take a=0D=0Aqueer look at St. Pauli and trace the history of transgender life to=0D=0Athe present day. The tour leads to locations from then and now,=0D=0Arevealing places that shaped the everyday lives of queer people or=0D=0Aoften provided the only spaces for visibility.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe tour is conceived and conducted by Eva Decker, who accompanied=0D=0AJulia Böhmer during the last years of her life.
