SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:QueerHistoryMonth | PRIDE | Kinofilm
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Queer History Month=0D=0A=0D=0AQueerHistoryMonth will take place in Hamburg from May 1st to 31st,=0D=0A2026 (www.queerhistoryhamburg.de). Various events within the festival=0D=0Awill bring the history (and stories) of the queer community in Hamburg=0D=0Ato life. Everyone is welcome – Kings, Quings, Queens, Allies,=0D=0AFriends, (chosen) Families, and everyone in between and beyond!=0D=0A=0D=0AEvent=0D=0A=0D=0AThe film PRIDE shows how queer activists and trade unions live=0D=0Asolidarity together – then as now.=0D=0A=0D=0Aver.di queer Hamburg invites you to a film evening. The film "PRIDE"=0D=0Awill be shown – a moving story about solidarity between the queer=0D=0Acommunity and the trade union movement.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe film tells the true story of a group of lesbian and gay activists=0D=0Awho raised money for striking miners and their families during the=0D=0ABritish miners' strike of 1984/85. Initial skepticism gave rise to an=0D=0Aunexpected, powerful alliance – and a striking example of how=0D=0Asolidarity can transcend social boundaries.=0D=0A=0D=0AThis story in particular shows why cooperation between the queer=0D=0Amovement and trade unions is important: discrimination, social=0D=0Ainsecurity and working conditions affect many people not only in the=0D=0Aworkplace, but also in their everyday lives.=0D=0A=0D=0AColleagues in the QUEER group have also been active in ver.di for many=0D=0Ayears. Because our private lives don't end at the office door or the=0D=0Afactory gate – experiences with diversity, discrimination, or social=0D=0Aacceptance also affect our working lives.=0D=0A=0D=0AWith this film evening, we would like to take a look together at this=0D=0Aspecial story of solidarity, discuss it, and celebrate Queer History=0D=0AMonth in Hamburg with an open, solidarity-based evening at the trade=0D=0Aunion club.=0D=0A=0D=0AWe look forward to welcoming all interested parties!=0D=0A=0D=0ADate: May 6, 2025=0D=0A=0D=0ATime: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM=0D=0A=0D=0ALocation: Club at the trade union building, Besenbinderhof 60, 20097=0D=0AHamburg=0D=0A=0D=0AOrganized by: AK Queer in ver.di Hamburg=0D=0A=0D=0ALed by: Marc Lienow (AK Queer)=0D=0A=0D=0AThe service is free.=0D=0A=0D=0APlease register by email at queer.hh@verdi.org=0D=0A=0D=0AThe event is largely accessible.
