Workshop concert with the winners of the Chinese Youth Music Competition and music students from the KMS Ludwigslust-Parchim

For the third time, the International Music Academy Ludwigslust (IML) is inviting talented young musicians from the region and around the world to masterclasses in Ludwigslust.
with the J. M. Sperger Ludwigslust-Parchim District Music School. For the first time, it is also offering a special cultural exchange through encounters with music students and teachers from China, who are traveling from their home country especially for this event. Several concerts are also on the program.
The music academy master classes will take place from July 24 to 28, 2024 at the KMS Ludwigslust-Parchim and are aimed at young string players. The lessons will be taught by
Prof. Maria Egelhof (violin), Antoaneta Emanuilova (cello) and Prof. Frank Thönes (double bass) as well as three other guest lecturers from China. "We are very much looking forward to welcoming these guests from far and wide to Ludwigslust and exchanging ideas with them," says Artistic Director Frank Thönes. "This provides an international environment in which people of all levels can learn from each other and the more advanced musicians can be musical role models for the younger ones." Last year's IML, which featured 31 young artists from 12 countries, was already very international.
