Those who have followed the metamorphosis of OFF THE RADAR over the last few years will have noticed one undeniable fact: We are not afraid of radical change.
Since the pandemic, our core party-goers (or audience) has evolved. It seems no-one excitedly pitching their tents or pumping up their airbeds for “classic festivals” with several days of urban escapism and hedonistic excess. We’ve obverved, listened and are embracing the change as we, at OFF THE RADAR are not done yet!
Like a cameleon, we are adapting and reinventing ourselves to bring the festival to your doorstep. This year we invite you to join us from 11th to 14th of September in various locations across Hamburg, all with the comfort of knowing you can rest your head on your nicely fluffed up pillow, in your own bed afterwards.
The death of clubs is currently becoming an epidemic in the Hanseatic city…nevertheless, OFF THE RADAR aims to shine a light on unique locations, promote networking and create connection outside of the usual commercial channels. We intend to create a vibrant festival within our beloved city.
We're showcasing the most innovative ideas from our local scene and establishing cutting-edge spots for cultural creation. Along the way, we've connected with vibrant new voices thriving in their own unique spaces.
Our vision for the festival is to spotlight the city's (sub)cultural frontier and celebrate the creative mavericks — those who make the impossible, possible - of subculture whose DNA is infused with the DIY or DIE ethos. This festival is all about engaging the community, uncovering hidden cultural treasures, and nurturing future potential, rather than commercial gain.
