Big festival in honor of the lotus blossom
The fact that the lotus flower has such an outstanding significance in Asian literature, art and mythology is clear to everyone who has ever had the privilege of experiencing this garden wonder.
On August 17 and 18, 2024, plant enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation can look forward to a colorful bouquet of activities and offers related to the lotus flower.
The wide range of offers from our exhibitors ensure plenty of variety.
The most beautiful thing is of course the garden itself - as always, the focus of the activities is the spectacular lotus blossom on the park lake. Nelumbo nucifera, the Indian lotus, can only be found in Germany in such extensive outdoor cultivation here in the Ellerhoop Arboretum.
There is also a lot for children to discover. For example, the sand dune with its hidden amber and semi-precious stones awaits many diligent treasure hunters and the barefoot course invites you to join in.
Of course, your physical well-being is taken care of. Visitors can take a break with coffee, cake, waffles and other delicacies in the café in the Münsterhof or in the garden at the Lotos Café.
