Christer Almqvist is a purist, for him the carefully selected photographic motif is a given. For Wolf Art, it is the starting point for experiments.
As part of the "Art and Friends" exhibition project, from April 8 to .... 2025, photos by Christer Almqvist and prints by Wolf Art on the theme of "LANDSCAPE" will be on display at the fineARTgalerie.
The two artists approach this topic, which is booming in times of climate and environmental crises, with very different intentions and perspectives.
In addition to the convincing quality of each individual exhibit, the exhibition thrives on the contrasts between the b/w photos and collaged color photo-graphics.
For the purist photographer Christer Almqvist, the motif, the detail that he has carefully selected and photographed with his camera eye, is set and cannot be changed. Light and shadow provide depth. The landscapes are reduced to the essentials.
For Wolf Art, the photographically captured motif is the starting material for creative experiments with various digital techniques. This results in photographic graphics with unusual fantasy landscapes. Collage effects provide depth. The landscapes come alive with colorful richness.
